Recommend a good wireless N USB adaptor?

Any ideas, my router is a D-Link if it needs to be matched.

Fastest speed supported as possible etc etc

Fast as you can get won't work with the D-Link 615.

... that's helpful.

How about something as fast as the 615 supports. (win 8 64bit 8 GB RAM if it makes a difference)

The D-Link DWA-140 that VM used to supply with the DIR-615 works pretty well IMO.

Excellent, that's what I ordered earlier, nice to have my judgement reinforced by someone who knows.
