Re: This takes the biscuit
4,000 people work at the DCLG, so it appears to have spent £6,000 per month on biscuits and snacks, or approx. £1.50 per person per month, or 35p per week.....
btw, the article appeared to have overlooked that the DCLG has cut staff by 19.7% over the last two years - probably more than paid for the biscuits..... |

Re: This takes the biscuit
No. The biscuits are from a tory supporter/donor, awarded the contract
They were charging 40,000 per biscuit. And chocolate ones cost more :) |
Re: This takes the biscuit
35p per person per week, must have been LIDL value biscuits.

Craven **** on the Sun newsdesk. I guess the temptation to run a headline about biscuits alongside a photo of Eric Pickles was more than they could bear. An excellent example of not letting the facts get in the way of a good story.
As for Diane Abbott, she has dropped a long, long way in my estimation, putting out a story like this. Clearly she hasn't an ounce of shame in her entire body. |
