New superhub, no speed increase?
For the last few years I've had a pc connected to the modem with a wire. Last week I phoned virginmedia to get upgraded to a superhub so that I could also connect a laptop wirelessly. I was told the superhub would be delivered on the 24th and that I'd also get a free speed increase (2 or 3 times faster I think they said) as "it won't work with your current speed".
The superhub was delivered yesterday, 2 days earlier than promised. I quickly fitted and activated it and have it working on the pc (with the wire) and the laptop (wirelessly), no problems there, everything is working fine. But when I did a speed test on speedtest.net only my upload speed has changed. An earlier speed test gave the results: Ping 19ms, DL 5.89 Mbps, UL 1.12 Mbps And today: Ping 21ms, DL 5.91 Mbps, UL 1.95 Mbps Is that what is supposed to happen? |

It's nothing that can be changed via the superhub settings? |
Re: New superhub, no speed increase?
no mate. call VM and ask for a tech to be booked to sort out your high downstream power levels.
