to be honest Osem this reeks a wee bit of sensationalism.... although prescription drug abuse is high in Britain I'd think that most people will get a script to indulge?I'm sure there are doctors that prescribe only too willingly.
Also,one of the was talking about the pills being from Germany? I'm not sure of the ins and outs but aren't pharms described in the report not controlled substances,meaning that if a pharmacy gives them out without a script they will be missing from some database somewhere?

I had to have all sorts of checks by my doctor before he finally prescribed me a pain killer that works for me which is tramadol. It shocks me that you can just walk into some chemists and buy them over the counter. :shocked:

My doctor won't even give me that as most pain killers affect my kidney and heart functions so all l can take is Paracetamol.

"most pain killers affect my kidney and heart" Isn't there meds you can take alongside to counter those sideaffects Denphone i only ask as i am taking two other tablets to counter the possible damage tramies could do me. This is on london something or other tonight at 19:30 and available on iplayer for the rest of us later will definately be watching this to find out more about it.

Maybe it's worth exploring the possibility that "pharmacists of colour" are more prepared to break the law than any other ,lets see who gets prosecuted .

I am buying more stuff from Russia and China these days because they do not think twice about breaking the rules, the result is I get things cheaper. The European and American retailers are losing out big time by playing by the rules.

Well this can't be a big problem because IIRC regulatory body only prosecuted one pharmacy in the whole country last year... :rolleyes:

I don't think it's a massive problem ,but then that could be because the regulatory body is pants and only managed to catch one

Anyway, in light of these damning revelations, it'll be interesting to see whether they now prosecute more than one pharmacy this year.
