Superhub to TP-Link TL-WR1043ND

First off, apologies if I have posted in the wrong place...I'm new here!!

I have posted this on the VM forum, but wonder if anyone else has any suggestions.

I been trying to introduce a TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND to my Superhub.
The setup (from CD) flies through to the end, then I get 2 errors:

1. Please check WAN Connection Type and Parameters
2. Please check your Network Connectivity and retry

I've tried it all a good few times now...even disabled DHCP on the Superhub but still no joy.
Any help will be gratefully accepted!

Regards,

AWH2112

Sometimes the "out of the box" firmware on routers can be a bit flaky. Check for updated firmware or consider alternatives such as DD-WRT or open-wrt.

You should ignore the CD Setup.

Just put your SH into Modem Mode, connect the Router WAN port to Port 1 on the SH (it's the one nearest to the VM Cable). Reboot everything and wait for it to settle down.
Connect your PC to the TP with a cable to any TP LAN port and you should be able to browse to 192.168.1.1 on the TP.
This should normally be the Admin Webpage for the router.

Many thanks for your replies...I will try again (not using the TP CD) and post the outcome.

Oh I didn't mention...I'm on 100Meg VM Broadband. Will this make a difference?

I have the same router and have put Gargoyle software on it and it runs fine with 100 meg.

what do u thinks better? dd wrt or this gargoyle? i get 12.50mb on 100mb so wan is working fine, as per hub and this router, put in in modem mode and connect all ya devices to the 1043nd and a gigabite lan cable from the wan port on this to port number 1 as in in the pic on superhub webpage, thinks its the closest port to the coax connecting on the superhub.
