pm the user and ask them to do a speed test. There are two other reasons why the speed might be slow in the evening:

1) the user has download a tonne of stuff late afternoon and hit evening stm
2) the user is downloading torrents etc in the evening and gets what little juice is left over in the pipes

yeah but you really need to stick to your guns dude if you arent getting full speed most of the time. They'll lie their asses off to you and tell you they are aware of the issue and it is due to be fixed next week and they'll offer you a discounted bill to take you over your probationary periof and screw you over. If it isnt working then it isnt working and you should check out BT Infinity if it is available in your area.

I already have BT Infinity option 2, only reason i,m coming back to Virgin is because i'm going to drop my Sky Package to minimum package with Sky but make sure i still have Sky Atlantic, i have ordered VIP Package Half price for 6 months, but that was on Wednesday & the guy i spoke to said my details where sent for a credit check, he said he would get back to me by today to let me know what was going on but i haven't heard back from anyone yet.

I'm on the Lewisham UBR. Speeds have been hit and miss over the past few months. Some days are better than others (peak time). It's usually fine after midnight.

Thanks for that Mr.A.2009, i'm a little worried now, are you a heavy down loader, i was with virgin last year on 50 meg service never had a problem, do you use utorrent or similar for downloading.

Re: Lewisham UBR

I sometimes use torrents, not frequently. We average around 250GB a month. So not too heavy. Speeds are usually fine after midnight or a little before then. I'll post up some screen shots and a thinkbroadband mointor later.

Stopped using monitor for a while. So you can't gauge much from that atm.

i havent downloaded anything off steam recently but it looks like the normal download interface. You can see he is in the library tab and that lists all your games and their download speed/completion
