Billed for a call I never made
Just logged on to 'My Account' online and I can see a charge of £1.13p for a call nobody in my household could have made. For info our home 'phone has been on the fritz for months and cannot make or receive calls - we use our mobiles for all incoming & outgoing calls. How is this possible??? No visitors on the day in question (15/11) - both myself and my other half were at work. |
Re: Billed for a call I never made
have you had or got a tech booked to have a look?

Re: Billed for a call I never made
That happened to me more than once until the second or third tech visit sorted it. VM did refund the calls when I asked them but no one was ever able to explain it. Or why my neighbour's phone rang as well as mine when someone called me and we'd all have a little three way chat.
I guess I'm saying this thing does happen and if you ask them, they will refund. They did me anyway. But good luck trying to get an answer to the question... but how...? |
Re: Billed for a call I never made
Thanks for the replies and advice.
Wondering if I should let it slide rather than spend ages on the telephone trying to get a result, wait in for a tech. But then if it happens again... |
Re: Billed for a call I never made
you say you cannot make or recieve calls? can you call 150? if so call 150 > confirm or not > option 5 > option 3.
if you cannot make any calls try from a friend or family members VM landline. explain whats happened. ask for a specific day visit or evening tech visit if you have work or any other commitments. |
Re: Billed for a call I never made
I personally would be more concerned at paying for a phone and line rental that wasn't working.
