Actually, I have an idea. Make this the last post on the subject  |
Re: Virgin Media Broadband
I'm a new Virgin customer on 60Mb BB and voted yes.
Having come from BT Infinity, I am used to higher upload speeds and no throttling, but I knew about these things before I moved to Virgin. I'm not over keen on being throttled, but I tend to do my downloading when I get up at circa 6.30am, just kick it off and leave it, so it's no great problem. I do miss the 17Mb upload speed though. :( |
Re: Virgin Media Broadband
Yes apart from the ****** upload speed ..

Re: Virgin Media Broadband
So, excuse me for asking a personal question, why move from BT BB to Virgin, where you go from no throttling to being throttled and a poorer upload speed? Sounds weird to switch to a product which you have inferred is inferior to BT.

Proper TV service?

Re: Virgin Media Broadband
All happy here , so voted yes!
As for moving from BT to VM , perhaps the grass is not always greener on the other side! Concerning the upload speed , excuse my ignorance here , but why is a faster upload better than a slower one? |
Re: Virgin Media Broadband
No good upload speed and price rise up but still YES 80% :tu:

Re: Virgin Media Broadband
I voted yes as no one can match the price I pay for a service with little or no issues in Liverpool.;)

Re: Virgin Media Broadband
I voted 'no' as the question referred to 'current' service. As of today I can't stream Youtube or high quality iPlayer without buffering or errors. The 120Mbs service shouldn't even be on tickover for such applications...
Had the question been asked 30 days ago, or (hopefully) in less than 30 days time I would have answered 'yes'. Such are the fickle delights of opinion polls... |
Re: Virgin Media Broadband
I voted no for a number of reasons.
My speed doubling has been pushed back 2 times now, even though neighbours who are new customers, get the new doubled speeds. The price is going up by almost £4 for me, meaning I will be paying clost to £36 a month for 30mb. The youtube throttling. |
