No service
 
just had virgin package installed, as soon as technician left it went off, phoned 150,they said it would be sorted in a few hours.sorry I LEFT PREVIOUS PROVIDER:(

Did they tell you what had happened? If it was a power cut or something, that won't have been their fault.

Sorry to hear about your bad start though; hopefully it will have been worth it when they get you sorted.

You could also login to your My Virgin Media and check the Service Status page there. Sometimes things do go wrong, can't be helped. No provider can guarantee 100% reliability with their service. If you want that, then good luck finding a 100% reliable content provider. If you do, let me know and I'll join them straight away.

To be fair, I had over 10 years trouble free service with Sky when I was with them and that included TV, home and broadband. I can't say the same of Virgin who, in the space of 5 months have had faults with the phone service and on-demand on a number of occasions.

My experience is almost the exact opposite. The truth is none of them will get it right all the time - what's important is how they react when their service fails.
