No service LE3 Area + Mini Story = Potential head explosion *Proceed with caution*
Since Wednesday iv had drop outs that have lasted up to 12 hours and its been happening daily. I ring Virgin Media up and they say they will send a technician out Thursday - of course at the most inconvenient time - between 12-4 (this is on the first drop out) I was at college and my mum waits for the guy to arrive. Anyway he comes, checks the modem says everything is fine and leaves without checking to see if my internet was working but on the form he fills in he of course ticked the internet is working box.
Anyway I come home and it WAS working, and then Thursday night it stopped again, I ring virgin up and they say they will send a technician round the next day between 12 and 4. My mum decides to wait in again, and we received an automated phone call from virgin at 9pm saying they have found a problem on their end and have cancelled (yes cancelled) my appointment. I get in at 6 to find another automated message saying its fixed, and it was working..... for an hour. Its now Friday and I leave for the weekend deciding to deal with this problem on Sunday. I come home Ring Virgin and on hold for 40 minutes, FORTY minutes. I give up and hang up and try again (don't ask why) and when I did there was an automated message from a chap saying theirs a problem with the broadband and if we are ringing up about it then they are on the case and should receive an update by 8. (what I find incompetent about it is they didn't say what area) Now im confused as they said this the last time and had the nerve to cancel my appointment for me, I dunno what else to do and I cannot get through to Virgin for the life of me and Im running out of ideas and patience. What should I do? Thanks guys |

I believe if you phoned using your home virgin phone then that automated message is related to your area.

That would make sense I guess, I admit I was maybe a bit quick with the incompetence comment, though It mainly comes of my frustration for the whole thing.
