Loss of Caller ID

We had a power cut about a week ago and ever since then our caller ID is no longer working, also the phones ringtone has gone haywire.

Could the phone have been damaged in some way as a result of the power cut or is it worth a call to customer services.

Thanks.

I think it is more likely that the phone has been damaged. But you could always call anyway and just check :)

Could you borrow a caller ID phone from a neighbour to try?

Re: Loss of Caller ID

The first thing they will ask is to test it using another phone that you know works as it is likely the power cut killed the phone.

I was going to try another phone as i suspected VM would tell me to try that but never got round to it and a few days later the Caller ID started to work again.
