unexpected upload speed reduction

Hi, called VM yesterday as needed to reduce monthly bill, so inquired to reduce BB package from XL to L as not yet received the double in speed to 60mb and am happy with 30mb down and 3 up (saved £5.50pm inc £2 loyalty but another 12 month contract)

so done a speed test after phone call to find my up load is now only 1.5 :eh:
just got off the phone to support who said it all looked correct on the screen so he sent another hit to the modem and I done another speed test of his choice and the upload was the same 1.5. He said it should take effect after 24H, is this correct? and he said if no difference after this then I should ring again for second line support as he couldn't do anything with upload problems

Am I right in thinking the lowest 30mb tier has an approx 3mb upload

Thanks for any comments

Nope. If you go into the config on the shub you can see the speed you have been provisioned for. It sounds like you have been downgraded to 20mbit (whatever tier that is these days) and you are on the new doubled speed/free upgrade tier. You have basically been upgraded to 30mbit for free and as they havent done the upload upgrade yet you are still only 2mbit up. Soooo, when you look at your config you'll see you are 30/2.

Similarly, anyone who has been doubled to 60 for free will not be on 60/6, they will be on 60/3 until they upstrean doubling is done to bring it inline at 10:1

Yeah I see what you mean about the doubled upload speed...thanks
