Superhub VPN problem
I have a business SuperHub and Draytek 2820 which has been working allowing staff to connect via a PPTP VPN and internet access going out. Public IP address was 92.30.36.125. Internal side of superhub was 192.168.1.251 external address of Draytek was 192.168.1.252, Internal side of Draytek is 10.0.0.15 (Lan).
Now virgin have supplied 5 addresses and told me to set external address of SH to 223.116.36.41 and external address of Draytek to be 223.116.36.42 thus putting the SH into modem only mode. Users can still get Internet access out, but VPN no longer works. Help !! |

Re: Superhub VPN problem
i have got to go to work and I'll try and find the post for you later but someone had a similar problem last week. You are still using the shub in router mode and what you need to do is setup the subnet addresses in your draytek router properly and change the vpn configuration because at the moment one end of the tunnel is pointing to an address which you no longer use.

Re: Superhub VPN problem
This is why you should use (D)DNS names for your VPN

Re: Superhub VPN problem
You should use a domain name for your VPN server, e.g. vpn.company.com so that when the IP changes you do not have to reconfigure your clients.
