Looking for a router 100Mb VM.
Hi all, I just came off the phone, after getting 15 quid knocked off my VM bill; I canceled my subscription knowing they'd call me back trying to get me to stop doing so and as expected voila!
Anywho, I've finally decided to invest in a router and use the Superhub in modem mode, my house is quite old and has very thick walls (just on a side note as im curious, do routers work significantly better in the US due to there different building style? ). I digress, I don't mind splashing out a bit, just want something that will last for a good amount of time and has a large range with strong wireless connection. The neighbours next door are an old lovely scottish couple who don't even have broadband so no need to worry about interference on their behalf. I've had a look around and so far the "Linksys E4200" seems to be a very good choice, thought I'd ask the wonderful people on here; what they would recommend :D Just to summarise this long winded post, " I want a good router, with a large range Cheers in advance and have a good day! |

top of the range Linksys, Asus and TP-Links are all good and will all run 3rd party firmwares.
TP-Links are probably the best bang for the buck. |

Well done dude, you have hit the nail on the head from get go and saved me a long speech. Peope will recommend various routers to you but you really can't get wrong with Linksys. They truely are the perfect all rounder for performance, features and reliability. I have been using Linksys routers for years and have never had a single problem with any of the models I have had.
