From 1st September sky line rental will be £14.50 pm an increase of £2.25 evening and weekend package discontinued you will only be able to get sky talk weekends so you lost the free evening calls:td:

That's only for new customers , as I read it there's no increase for existing customers and existing customers continue with evening and weekend calls currently.

BT line rental saver costs around £10.50 per month but payable yearly,you then pay £4.95 per month for unlimited anytime calls including 0845 and 0870 numbers, Sky do not offer inclusive calls to 0845 numbers.

Alternatively if you are a Orange or T-Mobile customer, Orange homephone and broadband can work out quite reasonable offering inclusive calls to 0845,0870 as well as Orange and T-Mobile phones on the highest package.

There are plenty options available, I personally find Sky Talk unreasonable and think Virgin phone is even better value.
