The time on my V HD Box when it is in standby stops and it always is in the afternoon.
The dots inbetween the hour and minuets carry on flashing .
If i press the standby button on remote twice the time reverts back to the correct time and starts again. Also if i do nothing and leave it by the morning it again has corrected itself and is working again untill it gets to the afternoon.
The channels are ok i am just curious as to why this is happening and how to fix it.

Very odd. Have you changed the power-saving settings?

You could always leave it on. Unless you enable power-saving, putting it in standby makes very little difference.

Hi spiderplant , no i havent changed the power settings i havent long had it.
Strange thing though , this morning i notticed the dots inbetween the hour and minuets are on and were not flashing but when i got home from work today the time is correct but the dots are now flashing. I dont know if that has anything to do with it. As i mentioned its not a major problem its just somthing that really should not be happening and im curious as to why. And it allways happens in the afternoon not the morning.

Only in the afternoons. Today though its been ok.

Yes, but does it happen at any particular time in the afternoon? It might be a clue to what is going wrong.

There used to be a fault where the clock would stop at 06:02 am.

It stops anywhere between 4pm and 8pm.

Hi spiderplant, i have just got home from work and so far clock is again ok. Thats 2 days now . When i think about it the first time i noticed this problem was on a saturday and by wednesday it seemed ok now the same thing happened this week, so it will be interesting to see if the problem starts again this saturday.

Is the clock correct on the miniguide when you take it out of standby?

Have just come home and it has stoped for the first time at 10.04 so i have turned tv on and leaving it to see if power save has been put in if so tv should shut down in 3hours time.
