It is though getting to be a bit too much "supercrime" based.. The helicopter and the scuba men for instance.. The great thing originally about this show is that it closely followed the original in characters and style and then they pull this... Is there new writers or something else changed for S3?

I much prefer the OTT episodes to the ones where the supposedly elite special investigations unit is just investigating run-of-the-mill murders that HPD could handle, instead of MAJOR CRIMES like it is meant to.

Anyway, speculation:

Wo Fat is Steve's half-brother.

It seems an obvious twist to me.

As soon as Steve's mum told him that she had a "complicated" assignment with Wo Fat's dad I instantly assumed that she had a relationship with him.

And then at the end, when they faced each other guns out at point blank range, only for Steve's mum to miss and Wo Fat escape, my first thought was "she's his mum!".

Yep, the Half brother theory was instantly mentioned here when she didn't kill him..

It was obvious they recognised each other straight away, and I came to pretty much the same conclusion.
