V HD box overheating

Does anybody else have problems with their V HD box overheating?

It happens in hot weather. I have propped the box up at the back with the cable, to increase airflow, but it still overheats and resets occasionally.

Is this a design fault (happening to everyone) or just something wrong with my box (which if this is the case, I need to get Virgin to replace)?

Thanks for any help.

Mine only gets slightly warm LHS, centre, a few inches in - the RHS side feels quite cool

If the box is rebooting regularly, you should report that. Don't say it is overheating otherwise they'll just tell you to improve the ventilation.

Where is the box situated? (is it in an enclosed area?).

It is on the shelf of a wooden TV stand, bought from John Lewis. It should be fine, that is why I was asking if others had this problem - as I thought it could be a design fault.

Thanks for the replies.
