V+ playback problem.

When trying to select a time point using "user defined" during a recording, the V+ won't allow it if the recording has not yet finished. To get to where you want to be, one has to 'fast forward' to it, which can be inconvenient during long recordings.

Is there any way around this that i'm not aware of?
