Getting HT sound through RCA & V+

I have a Samsung HT E350 kit and would like to get my HT kit to play sound from my V+ box and WD TV Live box. The way I was doing it before was by using SCART from the V+ to TV and an RCA from the HT DVD box in to the TV but since changing to HDMI I don't seem to be able to get sound from my HT E350 though RCA (AUX is selected source on the HT unit).

On my TV I have 2x HDMI/composite/optical ports and the V+ box and HT kit have 1x HDMI. I'd rather try and get this to work through RCA rather than optical as WD TV Live doesn't have optical.

If your TV has an optical audio output, you could feed this into the HT and let the TV do the switching.

Otherwise, use a lead like this to get audio from the VCR SCART socket on the V+. The VCR SCART socket is active at the same time as the HDMI.
