Terrible service for the last few days

Getting very fed up with the slow, non existent or intermittent service we are getting lately. :(

Seems to be affecting the OX areas in varying numbers (though they never mention our postcode in the automated message).

Any techs out there can give us a clue as to what is going on? It is worse than when the soaring temperatures caused problems a couple of years back.

Maybe upload speed upgrades going on in your areas?

They are in mine, browsing is like a lottery it may work or might not work.

A brief post whilst we have access. Still on 30mb, so no changes yet. Getting more peeved off by the day with the dire internet service.

Make sure to phone up tech support so they can run tests to see that the line is fudged, cause thats the only way you can get a refund on your month. It stinks yes, its as if VM think you are lying to get a refund... sigh >.<

Same here in Renfrewshire. I've been getting drop outs regularly all night between midnight and 7am (17th july). I'd like to know the cause of these drop outs.

The Stargate is affected as well? Must be very serious if the problem is all the way to the US of A :)

All the plebs can do on the phone is ping your modem to see if it is online unless you get through to 2nd line

At the risk of appearing more "dense" than your good self I thought the OP was referring to "Specific Gravity"? ;)

Probably only a matter of a few posts before someone even suggests it's a loading issue caused/exacerbated by R36 deployment?
Oh….. appears someone has!

Actually just checking why a stable cable segment(Brighton node for last 10yrs) suddenly chose the last week to succumb to a consistent FEC error (visible during late evening/overnight only)? I was going to blame it on a waterlogged cable pit or a rogue modem but this hypothesis is far more amusing! ;)
