VM Superhub loses connectivity with Bit Torrent.
 

As many of you will know the Super Hub is unable to handle downloading large files with loads of trackers. I only think this is a problem with the SuperHub and does not affect other better quality routers.

This problem only seems to affect the hub when you use it wirelessly, as when it is connected via ethernet with no wifi the hub wont crash. I am right in presuming that this is only really a problem in the wireless mode, and in either modem mode or wired mode there is no problem?

If so would I be better of using my router as a modem and buying a better router?

And does anyone know of any power adapters that have 2 cables coming from the one plug so I wouldn't have to have a plug for each router?

You could try looking at your torrent client and reducing the number of connections being made so there are fewer concurrent trackers? But trying to run lengthy torrents over wireless could be a challenge for any router / wireless card.

As for power adaptors, I'd suggest that it is virtually impossible to have two appliances off one adaptor. Each appliance has it's own current / voltage requirements which needs to be matched to the adaptor. Adaptors themselves are often not of variable output, or if they do often have limited range.

I disagree. Almost all routers use 12v these days and the ones that don't are probably 5v.

I started that thread, but on that occasion my hub was actually faulty and needed replacing, it would hang with just general internet browsing using the ethernet cable. They replaced it, but now it will work fine downloading while connected using an ethernet cable, but not via wireless, although most are fine with wireless.

I thought it was the hub, but a poster has pointed out that most routers will struggle with a large file that has a lot of seeders. I may give limiting the number of peers a go to see if it makes any difference, otherwise I will just stick to downloading hard wired.
