New UBR since outage
3 Attachment(s)
Need advice on what to do about problems since outage yesterday. After I got back my 50MB service, I was on a new UBR which seems totally saturated:
Attachment 23598 ping test last night: Attachment 23599 Here's the UBR I was on before outage: Attachment 23597 Any advice? Can you request a UBR switch? My only hope is this is a transient set-up until the (planned) upgrade kicks in next month .. Thanks .. Location: Winchester (SO23) Modem: VMNG300 Router: DIR-615 (dd-wrt) |
Re: New UBR since outage
you won't have changed UBR dude because they are dedicated to service a particular area. The chances are that you have been moved to a different card or are using different channels which is what has happened to me over the last couple of days. Which has just reminded me, I need to run some speed tests to see what is going on :)

Re: New UBR since outage
Thanks for the reply but I was on sotn9 but am now on sotn8 (since outage) ...
From what I have read, second hop after router is the UBR and second part of this name is UBR name: cpc13-sotn8-2-0-gw.15-1.cable.virginmedia.com ---------- Post added at 08:55 ---------- Previous post was at 07:49 ---------- Just managed to speak to a UK support person who said that in order to upgrade the sotn9 UBR, everyone has been put onto sotn8 :-( hence the overloading. In theory, she said that people should be migrated back to sotn9 once the upgrade work was complete ... fingers crossed! |
Re: New UBR since outage

Re: New UBR since outage
I think that is the bit after. I think it goes ubr-card-port. You are right in that it looks like it has changed, i am going to have to check mine now

Re: New UBR since outage
cpc24-linc11-2-0
The linc11 has stayed the same but I am sure mine was cpc2 before and not 24 |
Re: New UBR since outage
I think it is <dhcp range>-<ubr>- where the range can change with router mac address ...
