error code 1021 - what on earth does it mean?
Can some one tell me what this secret code means? No one has ever told me. I keep getting it, the technician comes out, fixes it for a bit then it comes back. Virgin send only "private" responses to others with the same problem so it appears you have to be a member of a secret club to work out what it means. The telephone "help" line is less than helpful, that's a rant I can no longer be bothered to have, suffice to say if I am told it is a network fault in my area one more time.... (its not, and no, it will not mysteriously fix in three days no matter what they try to tell you).
Any clues or any advice on how get a technician booked without waiting for the magic three days first would be helpful! |

Rather than complain that people who've raised this issue on the help and support forums only get a private reply that you can't read, you could follow their lead and receive your own private response? In the meantime, a quick google suggests that it's something to do with your box being offline, and the best advice is to check your connections at the back of the box and then reboot. If you're still getting problems then you'll need to make a pest of yourself.

It means the box can't talk to the network. You do need to keep getting technicians out until they fix it permanently. Keep calling or posting on the forum.

1021 is lack of return path and will need a network engineer to look at it. Just ring faults they will send a service tech who will refer it to network ops.
