Cancelling before end of contract

I am right if I cancel at 14 months of a 24 month contract I will just have to pay the monthly charge x 10 months remaining.
It is just the phone I want to get is not available or likely to be with Virgin and is on an offer with another network at the moment and I don't want to miss the opputunity.

No point cancelling then, just get two contracts and give someone you trust the sim, I'm giving my second sim to my mum

Pay 2 more months then downgrade your contract, I'm with 3 and after 12 months of a 24 month contract you can downgrade to a much cheaper tarrif.

I don't know if Virginmobile do this, and knowing them they don't but worth a look.

What is the phone you are wanting?

As far as I'm aware you are correct that to end the contract it's the remaining months

As far as I know, you can't drop your tariff cost below what you agreed to, although you can vary what you get for the same price or increase it
