Virginmedia in two rooms

Hi,
i am currently with virginmedia for tv and broadband i have my box in lounge which goes into my virgin box but i also have a box up stairs in my bedroom which goes into my modem. If i put a spilter on the cable upstairs can i run another box and internet at same time or is it purely for my internet?

If there enough signal you could run an extra box

You'd need to get any additional box from VM anyway so that it is registered on your account. Therefore you might as well get them to come and install it and they can do the work for you and check the signal levels are correct as JB states.
