Belkin F5D7230-4 not working for more than a few minutes

I'm trying to install a Belkin F5D7230-4 (version 7000) at the moment, but having problems.

I've set up many networks, so like to think I know what I'm doing. But this is causing some troubles.

Router is set up perfectly. Whether I connect through a wire or wireless, whether it is connected to the WAN or not, the router stops working within 5 minutes.

Windows reports limited connectivity (on wired and wireless) and it no longer connects to the modem. Addition of any extra devices are not allocated IP addresses by the DHCP.

Unplugging the router solves the problem, but then it doesn't stay alive for more than 5 minutes again.

The seller has sent me another to try, but I also have the same problem.

I had a Netgear connected with the same setup and had no problems. Can anyone suggest anything before I ditch this and buy another Netgear?

Thanks

You have read the bit where he stated that it is a refurbished device bought from Ebay therefore as they are not the original owner they cannot claim the lifetime guarantee especially when they ask for proof of purchase and they state Ebay.
