problem connecting with my canon mg5250 printer via superhub
Hi, I'm new here and a bit of a novice at all things techi beyond basic using my laptop.
After a nightmare experience with talktalk, I've recently joined virgin and have the superhub set up and working fine for my laptop and ipod. My printer, however, completely fails to connect with my virgin account and was fine with the (otherwise rubbish) talktalk connection. the printer manual troubleshooting just refers me to the (not supplied by Virgin) router manual to check and change the settings of things I don't understand such as DHCP and WEP and MAC ... but even though I've looked up these things and am beginning to get a hazy grasp of their meaning, I don't feel any nearer to being able to get my printer connected. Can anyone please please help me in plain and simple English? Thank you :dunce: |

I notice I've had quite a few people read my thread but no replies ... as I'm new here, I wonder if you can tell me if I've put it in the wrong place or if my question is not the kind of thing this forum deals with?:dozey:

Re: problem connecting with my canon mg5250 printer via superhub
There are only 10 so far who have read the thread, including myself. If however we don't know the answer it makes it difficult to assist. I'm sure someone will come along eventually.
In the meantime, can you connect the printer wired, rather than wireless so you can use it that way? |
Re: problem connecting with my canon mg5250 printer via superhub
If your printer supports WPS use that, the superhub uses a WPS PIN.
Check these links for help: http://help.virginmedia.com/system/s...MER_TYPE=Cable and http://help.virginmedia.com/system/s...MER_TYPE=Cable It seems your printer can use WPS, so try that. http://www.canon.co.uk/Support/Consu...=faq#bookmark1 |
