Re: Charity chief quits over fit-for-work test
It won't change anything but at least someone has had the balls to resign.
Those that stay on the committee risk looking as if they support what the government are doing.:erm: |

http://www.disabledgo.com/blog/2012/...o-be-scrapped/ I am reading this its very good insightful how and who shaped it. Lots vested interest miss understanding thinking by feud. Long read alert http://www.dpac.uk.net/2012/04/a-tal...-debbie-jolly/ Shows charities involved if we now seeing those raise concerns on behalf those they help. I would say in coming weeks others publically denounce it. To his defence and other charities feel they felt it was to root out the wrongers and to genuine help those in need. To provide support where needed and make sure those were getting the correct level. It now says alot to those who say charities supported it are raising objections. Now they starting to walk to help fight it by legal challenges. SCOPE in this article I posted initially supports his concerns already. I fear it could do some very big damage to images of charities. Great idea but been twisted and abused to support government agenda which sadly charties got caught out. MENCAP, MIND, the National Autistic Society, Parkinson ’s Disease Society, RNIB, RNID and the Disability Benefits Consortium including some of those already mentioned, as well as Leonard Cheshire Disability, Sense, RADAR, SCOPE, Sue Rider and the Papworth Trust |
