I am not suprised universities under funded need revamping Cambridge and Oxford survive due to its tradition reputation.
They pick field the hub such as electronics industry the unversity more geared to those students. Here alot universities mixed bags too generalised there is universties who do have leading fields expertise but not enough out there. Now the other thing is years to come the fees will get invested but We need revamping the structure of higher education. Quote:

---------- Post added at 22:32 ---------- Previous post was at 22:27 ---------- Then again, the population of the US is 5 times that of the UK, which still makes them outscore us by 2:1. Then again again, what's a 'degree awarding institution'? Does 'college' count, when the topic is Universities? |

No - in the first link, it shows there are also 10 million 18-24 year olds enrolling in Community or feeder colleges.
Anyhoo, my point was in rebuttal to Alan's non-fact based assertion that only the rich have everything, when in fact twice as many (per head of population) attend University. |
