That good ole special relationship again....

David Cameron and Barack Obama have described the "unique and essential" relationship between the US and UK ahead of a visit by the prime minister to Washington.

I feel a US election coming on.....

Thus far Obama's shown precious little interest in the UK, apart from seeing our troops shot at next to his that is. No doubt DC will enjoy his trip on Air Force One, the banquet at the White House and game of basketball but does anyone really believe this is anything more than just a bit of political "you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours?" I expect the quid pro quo will be a nice glossy visit to the UK by Obama and his massive entourage of special agents soon after the presidential election (if he wins of course) to cement this most 'special relationship'. Thereafter it'll be back to normal and the UK will be about as special and unique as a pair of fake boobs on a Californian beach.....

Apparently Obama was cool on the relationship with the UK when he first took office but relations improved after America's frustration with the rest of Europe and the last state visit.

The fact that they actually need us now helps, they're in decline much like we were 60 years ago and have been for a while now, the days of them throwing their weight around and demanding what ever they want are over and the leaders of larger nations know it, we are doing nothing but helping keep them on their perch a little longer.

On marines just watched there training on discovery.

One the most literally stupidest thing ever saw in my life just shows life worthless to them.

They got chinook helo droped rope fastened looked like 7 marines no more on clip harness took off they had there arms legs apart each flew all over upto at least 2,000 feet.

You had to question why if they proving clip can keep you from falling why not 10-15 feet if it failed at least its not death.

No wonder they tur up feeling like superman
