Food Hygiene

I have read in several newspapers in my area of London where fast food shops, and restaurants have been closed down due to poor hygiene.

And the owners have claimed that it is a hard fought business and they lose money, all the time - this is no excuse for poor hygiene.

I worked in hygiene for 15 years, and the things that l have seen would make your hair curl, what a major problem with these outlets are that all they want is the money coming through the door, they are not concerned with the health problems that effect the paying customer, which can make people very ill, and sometimes it can prove fatal.

Its about time the local authorities cracked down on all these outlets to make it safer for the paying customer who have a good meal without any complications.

If they have been closed down, isn't that "cracking down" to make it safer? you can't get much safer than not there:)

I realy don't think we have a problem with takaways ,as has already been said if they are getting closed down then the system is working

Cardiff has a rating system that must be on view in takeaways and restaurants. Many have closed as people were able to see that the place was not 100% up to scratch.

Too right too!!

The Cardiff solution is the best one that l have heard of, pity its not like that in London, you will always have a fast food/restaurant that will try there hardest to carry on.

I have watch shows on Tv showing health inspectors going round the properties, and my god.

Have a look to see if your area is covered.
