Youtube streaming issues, again.

One of the things I forgot about a virgin media connection, is I can't ever seem to stream any youtube videos, without constant buffering issues.

It's odd, because on our sky unlimited (19mb down, 1mb up) connection, I've never had a problem with youtube.

Now I've returned to Virgin, I'm noticing the same problems again

I just uploaded this video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KK_KnQnah7o

On my virgin connection, the only quality which lets me stream, is the 240/320p

If I use any other, it buffers every 3-4 seconds

And yet, on my sky connection, it doesn't buffer at all

so is there any workaround that people know of? Perhaps a proxy?

Re: Youtube streaming issues, again.

I find that 720 videos are fine, 1080 are a little slow, and 360/480 are terrible which is annoying as one of my regular let's players (EthosLab) only uploads his videos in 480 due to his slow upload

With your video, approx 48 seconds was buffered in 10 seconds at 360, but on 720, 3mins of video was buffered in 10 seconds

I'm on 50M btw

You know it's designed that way, right? Approx 48 seconds is exactly how much it is supposed to buffer in that time and the Youtube servers specifically limit you to not allow more.
