Wishlist help

Afternoon all

I'm after some help really.

I have a few wishlists set up for a favourite actors to auto record the films if they are mentioned in the credits.

This works all well and good, but if the film is shown on eg ITV1, ITV1HD ITV1+1 ITV AD then it will try and record them all if the tuners will allow.

I then end up with multiple recordings of the same film.

Is there any way round this so that it only records a given film once?

Thanks

That shouldn't happen. Give me some example actors that do it and I'll investigate.

Re: Wishlist help

Looking at my planned recordings it only seems to be happening for 2 actors. Denzel Washington and Clint Eastwood. For DW it is scheduled to record Philadelphia on 5 at 21.43 on 7 Jan and then on 5hd and 5ad also at 21.43. For CE it wants to record Play Misty For Me on 8 Jan on itv4 at 22.59 and then at 23.59 on itv4+1.
Another funny for CE, 11 jan 23.59 on itv4 The Beguiled, then also scheduled to record it on 12 jan on itv4+1 at 00.59

Options selected within wishlist are
Show type -everything
Auto record wishlist

Ah, I think I may have found the culprit. I toggled everything to new and reruns and it seems to have solved the problem.

Although it does seem to like to choose the audio description channel at times even though there are free tuners at the same to record on the normal or hd variant of the channel.

Any thoughts on this?

Yeah that's what "record everything" does :)

It does like to record the AD version for no good reason, but that's only the London version under another name, so isn't really a problem. I agree it would be nice to be able to set a preference for recording HD instead. This has already been suggested to TiVo.

ps. Welcome to the forum!
