New Tivo installation but he (engineer) took the V+
Hi all. I had a Tivo installed a couple of weeks ago! The engineer was very efficient and was gone within an hour! He also took my V+ box! Could I have made use of the box and should he have taken it or should he have left it with me?? If it was of no use to me then I'm not all that bothered but if i could have used the box in another room the I'm well miffed!!
Thanks for any info\suggestions!! :erm: |

Hello,
The V+ would be no use to you unless you pay VM for multiroom. The engineers have to take it away as all VM equipment remains their property. Hope that helps |

Thanks - quicker than the engineer!!!

I take it the free multiroom offer for people upgrading to tivo has ended then (XL TV).

I think if you are on XL TV you can keep your V+ box for multiroom?

Re: New Tivo installation but he (engineer) took the V+
As I understand it, if you ask for the old box to be moved when you book the installation, it is put on the job sheet and that's what the engineer does. I didn't know that originally, but phoned VM ahead of installation and got them to add it to the job sheet. V+HD box moved to other room, no fuss, no multiroom charge. :)
