Is it worth complaining about?

So basically i use my internet just for voip and gaming, and with jitter they are both pretty difficult ;/. Ive always got max download/upload speeds, just always struggle with ping/jitter.

Was gonna post on the VM support forums, But didnt wanna waste a week waiting for a useless answer tbh. Phone the tech support many times but there pretty useless, no offence to any off them.

After reading around theses forums ive noticed my connection is great compared to some people's, which is rather worrying :tiptoe:. Is it ever going to get better? Or will i have to get a bt line installed? ;0. Im using the superhub, wired aswell.

Cheers for any advice (':

Re: Is it worth complaining about?

You are always going to see some jitter with cable. How bad it is depends on the utilisation of your node of the CMTS.

Your TBB chart looks similar to but maybe a bit better than mine following some work to fix bad oversubscription and although it isn't good there are plenty a lot worse. I was told that there would be no further work on mine unless the congestion got worse.

Here's one of mine from a day I didn't use the connection much. I mostly only speedtest at ~ 6:00 - 6:30am to see if there is upstream congestion even then - sometimes there is (the latency spike just after 6:00am will be caused by a speedtest).

Yeah noticed mine wasn't that bad after browsing the forums a bit, was just looking for confirmation really.

Phoned up the CEO office and there tech support decided its because Ive got very high power levels and a technician is coming out to fix it on Thursday and everything will be fine ;o.

Could someone check my levels and let me know if there being truthful? Thank you for any help.

Re: Is it worth complaining about?

There's too much attenuation on your line, the upstream needs to be below 55db, wont change much though
