IP11 down until 9am

The IP11 area has been down since at least 6pm 11.12.11, and the phone lines says it won't be back until 9am.

Does anyone know what had gone wrong for such a long outage?

Fibre break, engineers are working on the fault through the night.

Cheers for that, its a lot more than I got from VM. Just it's be back at 9AM.
Though it's actually back now at 11.50pm.

Just out of interest why wasn't the phone down or is that done by anther way?

The fibre wasn't fully damaged, so the telco side was ok. Glad to hear it's back on for you!
