New Tivo box owner with a problem! Help please (pic included)
 

Hey all,
I have a problem, just had a new Tivo box installed today.

For the first three hours everything worked fine, then I set up the remote to adjust my TV's volume and the remotes gone funny.

On a normal TV when you try to press the direction arrow you get the error beep and nothing happens. How do I fix it so I can stay on the one channel but scan through to see what is on offer on other channels. Any ideas?

Are you pressing OK to see the mini-guide first?

eeeeh?

press ok to bring up the Mini guide and then either the "direction arrows" to move up down the epg one channel at a time or CH -+ to do it 3 channels at a time?

Hey,
Thanks for the replies but....

Before I changed the remote to work my TV I could just press the left or right arrow to scroll through what was on at that moment and what was on next

Is it a setting?

you have to press OK to bring up the guide then left and right to move forward or backward through the epg.

I didn't the first time around though and did not get the whole menu, oh well, how odd :)
