Youtube Help

Hi All,

I have had the TiVo update like everyone else and I am pretty new to TiVo but I had the box a week or 2 before the update and the Youtube app was different. Since the update the app has completely changed and I cant access my youtube account etc, is there something different i need to do etc?

Any help would be great as I miss not be able to watch stuff off my account etc.

Ta:confused:

Yes the app changed as Google made a new version. I hope they will eventually add all the account features.

I noticed that too, last night at about 11pm. It's like Virgin Media were listening to the discontent and did a simple tweak to re-enable access to it. If so, good job, now hurry along with those Red Button/Multi-room/Reminder features. :D

They will come early next year (Full Red button/interactive service will come by the end of march and multiroom streaming January update)

I think you could be waiting a while for reminders (late 2012 )

Well there is no set date for reminders yet.

I think the YouTube app on TIVO is the same as the YT app on other connected devices , as my LG 3DTV has the same one.

The one before the update (the red one) was better in my opinion... With the new one, the videos don't even load half the time!

I was being optimistic when i said that about reminders.

MOD search is more important than reminders IMO.

Nice accidental joke. Y'know, cos reminders are all about setting dates to watch a program. ;)

+1 the new version is complete rubbish, I'm better off using my laptop than trying to use this on on TIVO a big :td::td::td: to Google/TIVO & VM for this new version

The old Youtube App is getting removed again and it looks like it will be removed for good this time.

just been on the phone to vm tivo team and they have confirmed that tivo has told virgin to remove it area by area

and mine just happens to be in the first area for the old youtube to be removed

but been told if there is alot of demand then they will look into the new youtube interface and conduct work on making it better
