V+ Box will not light up

Hi has anyone ever had this problem? I have a Samsung V+ box
It will not switch on. I hear the disc spinning inside but no lights on the fascia and no TV . It was a replacement one so is only 4 months old.

The only way to get it working is repeatedly switch it on and of using the switch at the back usually about 20-30 times.

The 150 phone service isnt working this morning (a guy repeating a service status message for Swansea over and over) and the 0845 number has a massive queue.

You could report it at http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/TV/bd-p/tv if you can't get through on the phone

Maybe its in stand by as all lights now go out when in standby.
Try pressing the standby button?

Without knowing the exact problem, it sounds like a pretty severe fault. Try contacting the CEO's office directly to schedule an engineer who can bring you a replacement box. After all, part of your monthly bill covers the warranty on any devices VM give you to access their services.

Thanks for the replies, yes first thing I tried was standby button managed to eventually get through and someone coming out.

Faults from a VM phone line is 151, not 150, although I think both can be interchangeable.

Pretty obvious that the V+ is bricked and needs replacement. Once you can get though to faults they should readily arrange a tech to replace it.
