Compatible with IR Extender kits?

I want to put my TiVo somewhere which the IR remote has trouble reaching and just wondered if it is compatible with one or more IR Extender kits that are available these days?

I use the Powermid XL extenders and they works just fine.

I have been using the same Labgear MRX120 HandyLink IR extender for ages from the CableTel years to NTL to V+ and now still working fine on Tivo.

I got one from Clas Ohlson for Â£9.99 and I've had no problems with it. TV is upstairs, box downstairs connected by cat5.
