Ryanair's lastest plan: remove toilets from planes

Passengers on Europe’s biggest airline may soon need to cross their legs – or queue to use one toilet between more than 200 people. Ryanair has dropped its plan to charge passengers for using on-board toilets, but is pressing ahead with proposals to remove two of the three lavatories on each plane and replace them with seats.

I'm sure this will happen - definitely - I'm sure this isn't just a very thin ploy to get some free publicity from the news papers by making some outrageous claim, just like all the other times.

really.

IIRC the law states that if the drop the number of toilets, they must also drop the number of passengers aswel, as there is a minimum you can have on a plane per head.

Do what I do.

I haven't renewed my passport and holiday at home.

Or you could use the sick bag and the give it to the cabin crew.

They won't do it. They are just looking for publicity.

I thought it was the 'take the seats out' idea that was due for another airing? Must have got the schedule mixed up.

Seriously, why does anybody pay any attention to this outfit's attention-seeking press releases ...

I'd patent that idea if I were you, if Michael O'Leary sees it he'll be announcing it as his next big idea in no time.

Re: Ryanair's lastest plan: remove toilets from planes

A couple of years back, I went to Turkey for a friend's wedding. Because I wanted the cheapest tickets possible, I booked the tickets a long time before I flew out. The wedding was in May, and I had the tickets booked by the middle of January.

I looked at Ryan Air, but found that when I factored in the extra costs at the time, Ryan Air actually wasn't that much cheaper than Turkish Airlines, and Turkish Airlines were offering a far better looking service.

When I say Extra costs, I mean things like taxes, the on board services and travel from the destination airport to Istanbul, as the Airport they landed at at the time is about an hour and half drive from Istanbul. Turkish Airlines land at Istanbul Ataturk airport which is in Istanbul.
