Right Now I have found a new threasd button deep joy.

I have a desktop PC the siuper hub need a road work job to get it bacvk on line and this takes 3 weeks plus.

So I bought a Virgin mobile dongle.

So ntlworld email account, virgin mobile. should work first time.
I receive email but I cannot send it because I am "remotely connected"

What is the correct authentication please

the long and short of it is that you need to go into your VM account online, setup a secondary email address (@virginmedia.com), you can choose whether you want your ntl email forwarded to that address or not, and then you can use smtp.virginmedia.com to send all your mail no probs
