Problem with box

We have an old V+hd box which is given us grief by have 'breaking up picture' and VM have stated that there is a problem on the cable connectors.

An engineer is coming on Wednesday, to repair it, if they replace it, do you think it will be the new style box or another refurb box.

And can l get a discount on the month as the faulty box was reported several days ago;)
