take money from ME wrongly in a direct debit rings up says it going to take 7 working days rings again after 7 working days still no money they say 10 working daYS STILL NO MONEY BACK

if they need to put credit on your account for any billing errors make sure its on your account then call your bank and do an indemnity claim this will get the money taken by direct debit back to you within 2 days then call them and pay the difference, I dont think they can credit back into your account themselves unless it was a card payment.

They should be able to as they have the full account detailsbut I would expect it to have to be done manually.

I know at least on the media side they cant action a indemnity claim from thier end its got to be the customer that does it from their bank im not sure if this is the same for all companies or just virgin media

also op how did it come about that virgin mobile took a direct debit without your knowledge? did you not get your bill?

The direct debit guarantee means you can have your money back from your bank straight away-ring them in the first instance.
