Returning to Virgin.

We are thinking of coming back to Virgin for our T.V/Phone package, as we already have their Internet.

I sent an Email asking what the total cost would be, for their Top TV and 24/7 phone package would be, and the reply was confusing to say the least?

We wanted to know the price of the H/D box with TIVO with an extra box in the bedroom would be, but when you read the reply compared to the original question, it makes you wonder if they did in fact read that Email I sent?

Check virginmedia.com and build a bundle

Thanks for that, I went on there to try and get a price, but it never mentioned and installation prices, or if there were any up front payments to pay?

Gadgie,

You probably want either the XL Plus bundle -

http://shop.virginmedia.com/bundles/...s/xl-plus.html

or the VIP bundle (if you want Sky Sports & Movies too) -

http://shop.virginmedia.com/bundles/...e-package.html

The installation is normally £40 but if you ring up you'll probably be able to blag this for free. Then you'll just need to pay £49.95 for the TiVo 'activation fee' (or £99.95 if you want the 1TB version).

Many thanks for that Superblde7, after having a look at them links, it works out that I would better off staying with Sky for our TV & phone.
Especially when I added the extra box in the bedroom, thanks again.

No problem Gadgie, you've gotta get the best deal for you in the current economic climate.

Just a point re: the additional box in your bedroom, is it two or three boxes you have in your home? The only reason I ask is that both of the bundles on the links above include TiVo (or V+ if you prefer although I would recommend TiVo) as your main box and then an additional V HD box for another room in the quoted price.

So if you just have two boxes in your lounge and bedroom, there would be no additional costs to the bundle price (other than installation and activation fees).

I wouldn't say HD versions and very small channels makes the choice 'nowhere near'.

Channel choice is no decent measure of quality and choice of service when the vast majority of channels absent from Virgin are not worth watching.

I covet only Sky Atlantic/HD and CBS Drama. Not much else fills me with great admiration, I'm afraid.
