F1 is an elitist event and I'm not a fan and I'm not alone..However the Olympics covers a lot of different sports, involves the whole world and unites a country in a way that F1 won't.

Frankly calling an event that involves machinery a sport has always puzzled me...:confused:

Yes we hope the Olympics will unite the country but back to Formula one Maggy and if you look down the thread on it you will find that it is very popular and certainly not at all elitist like Show jumping or other sports

With all due respect this thread is about the Olympics coverage not F1..;) As for F1 not being elitist where the hell do I get the money to enter F1? Whereas a set of shorts and a vest and a marathon runner in Ethiopia is set..

That would be too complicated and not everyone has access to Sky sports or ESPN..and the proviso for the Olympics is it must be viewable to all.
