tivo EPG

does tivo have an intelligent epg like SKY, so HD channels replace the SD channels? or can you move it around yourself?

Nope for the SD/HD thing. That's not to say it never will do, but considering BBC One HD - for instance - can't do regional news at the moment I think it would annoy people more than it helps

You can set up Favourites to list only the channels you watch

Can't see them ever offering to move the channels around yourself. EPG position is usually part of any carriage agreement

Sky leave ITV1,C4,C5 and BBC1 in the normal positions on 101,103 and 104,105 on the EPG All other HD channels are swapped to better positions like

SKY1HD-106
SkylivingHD-107
SkyAtlanticHD-108

On VM the HD versions of channels are usually only one down though, unlike Sky where they can be the other end of the EPG because of their crappy pay for the channel number system with no actual organisation.

There's no where near as much benefit of switching channels on VM as there was on Sky simply because the HD variants are far more discoverable.
