Problem with V+ box

Looking for a little technical advice if anyone can help.

Woke up yesterday morning to a completely dead V+ box, no power, no signs of life, nothing. I phoned virgin and they said they would get an engineer out this afternoon. However late last night it randomly decided to come back to life displaying an error code of PL-03, another reboot and i had TV channels again. The problem now is none of the V+ functions work, i cant access recorded programs, pause or rewind TV etc I'm met with a message telling me its temporarily unavailable and an error code 2006.

Anyone got any advice on this before i phone virgin again? could the miraculous resurrection of the box kill the hard drive? or is it something simple that can be fixed?

Thanks for any help.

That's a very sick box. No need to call again. Just wait for the technician to arrive and tell him what happened. I expect he'll swap it.

ps Welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the reply.

It was all very quick and painless. The call-out was for between 12-4, he was here by 1 o'clock. I explained the problem and he said they would need to change the box. Whole thing didn't take longer than 15mins.

Cant complain at that.

That's the beauty of not actually owning the equiptment Virgin supply! Sounds like a good result.
