Blackberry Push Email Query (ntlworld.com)
 

I've recently bought a Blackberry Curve 9300 on a VM contract and have setup my ntlworld.com email address on the device. I just wondered if anybody knows how often emails from that domain are pushed to the Blackberry? I've noticed that on occasions messages can take up to 20 mins to come through, whilst on others it's pretty much instantaneous. It's not a big deal, but I'm just curious as to what is going on behind the scenes. Thanks!

my blueyonder email is the same but the gmail is instant

It seems that the BB server can adjust how often it checks. The more mail you get through an account the quicker it is as the BB server checks more often.

I run my own mail server, and can see the BB servers checking for email on it, this can be every few seconds to 10's of minutes, so it seems they are quite dynamic!
